I really appreciate you putting up this series of posts, Lisa. I hope your agent comes through for you soon. From what I've seen of your writing, it's only a matter of time. Have a good weekend.
Awesome. It only takes one, right? And some of those were actually amazing rejections! Wow. It's nice to see personality in there instead of the form... no thanks. :)
I wanted to stand up and cheer when I got to the "And Then." Thanks for sharing this, I felt so emotional reading through the rejections. Even though I knew you eventually found representation, I could still feel my heart sink as I read through these. I absolutely love the "damn good book," that's awesome!
I have some that sounded positive from the first line, kind of like..."We were excited by your premise", which led me to think it was going to be a good. Then it went on to say..."But in the end we decided to pass..." LOL
Pretty soon, all those other agents will be kicking themselves for passing and all of your hard work & Jeanie's dedication will pay off. I can't wait to experience my own "And then." Great series, Lisa!
